Kickoff: Friday August 2 nd , 2019 7:30 pm ET
Fifth Third Bank Stadium, Kennesaw, Georgia
After an impressive and uplifting win against Louisville City in their final game at Audi Field, Loudoun United will get a chance to carry some more momentum into their new stadium as they take on Atlanta United II on the road before moving in to Segra Field on August 9 th . Loudoun beat Atlanta 2-1 at home just over a month ago, as Christian Sorto had a breakout performance in his debut, scoring both of Loudoun’s goals.
Atlanta currently sits in 17th place in the eastern conference and will be looking to avenge that 2-1 loss, a game in which they outshot Loudoun 16 to 12. However, they hurt themselves by picking up five yellow cards. This has proven to be a weakness for them all season, as they lead the USL Championship with 53 yellow cards as a team.
Players to watch:
Loudoun United:There is no denying the potential of 15-year-old Moses Nyeman, especially after scoring his first professional goal last Sunday. He has lightning-like speed and great ability to control the ball offensively. He will surely be an offensive threat on Friday. In addition, recent signing Elvis Amoh scored his first goal for Loudoun last Sunday as well. Coming in off the bench late in the match, the forward from Ghana showed that he can provide a spark and create chances when Loudoun needs it most.
