Head Coach Ryan Martin
Overall thoughts on team performance:
“I’m not really sure how this one feels right now. You always want to win and even a man down, I thought we had a lot of good chances to win it and I’m just tremendously proud of the guys for staying in the game for 80 minutes after the red card. To get a result when we were a man down early like that, I’m just really proud of the guys.”
On Lefebvre and Kairou's performance:
“We knew Kairou was going to be a key to the game with his pace and his ability to get in behind. The big thing for him has just been more quality in the final action, and that will take him to the next level. We’re starting to see it as he’s getting more goals and assists over these last few games. And Simon’s performance tonight shows why we drafted him as a club. We knew what he was capable of and he’s clearly starting to find his rhythm and develop chemistry with his teammates.”
Goal Keeper Simon Lefebvre
How do you think the team responded going a man down so early on?
"When you go a man down, you know it is going to be a fight, you know it's going to be hard. You have to respond strong immediately and I think we did that in order to come away with a point."
Thoughts on the first match at Segra Field?
"It felt great. It has been a long journey to get here but I am happy to play at Segra and in front of our fans for the first time"
Thoughts on Philly's pressure throughout the game?
"I feel my position was on during the whole game, especially when they were coming on strong. We conceded a goal, but will continue to get better as a club and get the results we want."
