On August 19, Loudoun United returned home to Segra Field and opened their doors to fans, making the club the first professional sports team in the DMV to allow fans in the stands. Making history, Loudoun United successfully created a safe and secure environment to enjoy live entertainment in Loudoun County.
“To just be able to step out on the field was great, but also to have people in the stands, whether it was just loved ones, family and friends or locals who just wanted to get out of the house to The Stampede, it’s just exciting,” shared Head Coach Ryan Martin when asked about the match. “It’s a sign of hopefully getting back and making progress in the right direction. I wasn’t out in the concourse, but it seemed like everyone was wearing a mask and social distanced, which is the important part. It’s just great to be home.”
