Match Preview – Loudoun United FC vs. San Antonio FC
Leesburg, VA (September 11th, 2025) – Loudoun United Football Club is set to host Western Conference side San Antonio FC at Segra Field this Saturday, September 13th, at 5:00 PM EST.
The Matchup
Loudoun United FC (11-8-4) currently sits in 3rd place in the Eastern Conference with 37 points. The Red-and-White will look to keep up the momentum, coming off back-to-back league wins against Miami FC and El Paso Locomotive. On the other side, San Antonio FC sits in 7th place in the Western Conference with a record of 8-8-6 and 30 points. San Antonio looks to pick up their first win in league play since July 12th. This is the first time the two teams have met since the 2024 season opener at Toyota Field, where Loudoun United’s Florian Valot found an equalizer in stoppage time to split the points. With playoff seeding on the line for both clubs, this will be a must-watch matchup.
Players to look out for on the Loudoun United squad include Quimi Ordonez, who just returned from national team duty and has three goals in his last three games, as well as Abdellatif Aboukoura, who has 11 goals in league play so far this season. The Red-and-White also just signed former Miami FC defender, Bolu Akinyode, to a two-year contract, adding some much-needed depth to the back line. San Antonio’s Jorge Hernandez leads his side in goals with eight, followed by Luke Haakenson with four.
Loudoun United goalkeeper Hugo Fauroux leads the league in penalty kick saves with three, and leads the Eastern Conference in saves with 67.
