Leesburg, VA. (December 16, 2025) – Loudoun United FC today announced the club’s 2026 USL Championship schedule, featuring 34 regular-season matches with 17 hosted at home. The 2026 campaign will provide a strong competitive slate as the club continues its development both on and off the field.
“Our team is prepared to build on last season and deliver a professional matchday environment that reflects the standard of soccer nationwide,” said Karl Sharman, President of Loudoun United FC.
The 2026 USL Championship season will feature 25 clubs divided into Eastern and Western Conferences, with Loudoun United FC competing in the Eastern Conference alongside Birmingham Legion FC, Brooklyn FC, Charleston Battery, Detroit City FC, Hartford Athletic, Indy Eleven, Louisville City FC, Miami FC, Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, Rhode Island FC, Sporting Club Jacksonville, and Tampa Bay Rowdies. Each club will play a total of 30 regular-season matches, combining in-conference and cross-conference opponents. At the conclusion of the regular season, the top eight teams in each conference will qualify for the playoffs, which will follow a single-elimination format and culminate in the USL Championship Final.
The 2026 season will feature a competitive slate of opponents, providing consistent opportunities to evaluate team performance and progression throughout the year. The club will also continue to implement a structured matchday program aimed at enhancing the experience for supporters, including initiatives for families, youth players, and community partners.
