
Loudoun United FC have acquired midfielder Andrew Lubahn for their inaugural season in the USL Championship pending league and federation approval.
“We are excited to add Andrew to the roster to bolster our midfield,” Richie Williams, Loudoun United FC Head Coach, said. “With his professional experience, we hope he will excel on the field and as a team leader in the locker room.”
Lubahn joins Loudoun United FC after spending three years in the USL Championship. The midfielder scored five goals, and recorded one assist in 54 appearances in the league. He started his professional career on August 8, 2015 when he signed with Penn FC and made 10 appearances in his debut season. He went on to score one goal and record one assist in 633 minutes in his rookie year.
On January 28, 2016, Lubhan signed to Louisville FC. Lubahn scored three goals and recorded one assist in his 29 appearances for the USL Championship team. He went on to appear in all three playoff games in the 2016 season totaling 56 minutes. Following his stint with Louisville, Lubahn signed with the San Francisco Deltas of the North American Soccer League (NASL) on Feb. 23, 2017. He made 14 appearances in NASL and two appearances in the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
On March 22, 2018, Lubahn signed with Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC in the USL Championship. For the Riverhounds, he appeared in 18 games, starting in nine of them and totaling 774 minutes. He had a total of four shots and one goal in one season with the Riverhounds.
Lubahn, originally from Erie, Pa., played five years of Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Division I Men’s Soccer at Wake Forest University (2009-2013). Lubahn scored 27 goals and recorded 11 assists in 83 appearances for the Deacons.. Lubahn was named All-ACC Freshman Team in 2009 and Second Team All-ACC in 2010.
