Match Day Information
Loudoun United FC (3-5-3, 12 points) vs. Indy Eleven (7-2-3, 24 points)
Kickoff: Saturday June 15th, 2019- 7:30 pm ET
Audi Field, Washington, DC
After playing some much improved soccer, Loudoun United FC will get to play back at Audi Field for the first time in three weeks. They are coming off a confidence building road trip in which they beat Swope Park 3-2, and competed well in a 2-1 loss against top tier club and defending champion Louisville City FC.
Indy Eleven sits in 4th place in the eastern conference at the moment, with double as many points as Loudoun United. While they are finding ways to stay out of the loss column (3-0-2 in their last five games), they have not proven to be dominant. The club has scored just three more goals than Loudoun on the season with 18, and has been shut out three times. Loudoun will look to hand Indy Eleven their first loss in over a month.
Players to watch:
Loudoun United: Loudoun has been led on the offensive end by team captain Kyle Murphy and young rookie forward Griffin Yow as of late. Murphy is the team leader in goals (4), and Yow has shown impressive ability to create scoring chances for himself and others, as he had two goals and an assist over the road trip. Peabo Doue has also been a critical piece as a defender and distributor.
Indy Eleven: Defender Tyler Pasher and forward Dane Kelly both lead Indy Eleven with 4 goals apiece. Pasher has proven to be a reliable finisher inside the box, and Kelly has been a versatile weapon who can create opportunities well. Goalkeeper Evan Newton has been a valuable part of Indy Eleven’s undefeated streak, as he is tied for second in the USL Championship with six clean sheets.
