You recently signed with Loudoun United ahead of the 2022 season. How has the transition been since joining the squad?
“The transition to the team has been great, we look out for each other on and off the pitch and in a team that is very important. Adapting to the city has not been hard at all, so far, I love the city of Leesburg and surrounding areas. I hope that as a team we can bring lots of joy to the city.”
You have tremendous experience for such a young career with Club America in Mexico. How has that early experience helped your game now?
“It was a great experience playing for the biggest club in Mexico and I will forever be grateful to them, living in another country helps you mature very quickly. I was there for all my academy career and one year with the first team. I learned a lot from the coaches and goalkeepers. I’d like to thank Club America; they’ve made me the player and person I am today.”
You’ve made an immediate impact for Loudoun United. Two games, two clean sheets. Something that has never been done before for the Red-and-White. How does that feel?
“It feels great knowing that as a team we have accomplished that. We have worked hard for it, and we deserve it but also deserve a lot more. I think the most important thing early on in the season is securing three points no matter where we play.”
With the constant shifting of players between the Academy, Loudoun, and D.C. United, how has relationships on the field been growing?
“Relationships on and off the pitch are very important, as a team we support each other no matter who it is and no matter what they need. The relationships are constantly growing. No matter who is playing, I try to be a good player and person most importantly for those around me.”
You were on loan with Miami FC last season. You face them this Saturday. How are you and the team preparing to defeat Miami FC?
“Miami FC was a great experience. It was my first-time being part of a USL Championship team and I really enjoyed it. We know Miami FC is a great team, but we have to play our style of soccer and commit to it. It’s going to be a tough game, but we are prepared to earn another three points on the road.”
