Quick to respond, D.C. United loanee Griffin Yow found himself behind the Memphis backline with a chance. Goalkeeper John Berner was up for the task as he got down quickly to save the shot low to his right side.

It was Memphis’ Phillip Goodrum who scored the next goal in the 55th minute from a diving header to put the game to bed.
