Loudoun United FC is set to host GOLD Night: United Against Childhood Cancer at Segra Field on Sunday, September 4. The Red-and-White kick off against Pittsburgh Riverhounds at 7:15 P.M. ET.
Loudoun United FC is proud to partner with Team Mathias and PREP4Gold, donating a portion of every ticket through this link to the organizations. The funds raised will be used to provide financial support for children in active treatment, fund translation research and raise critical awareness of childhood cancer.
“We are honored to work with Team Mathias and PREP4Gold to unite against childhood cancer,” said Doug Raftery, Loudoun United FC Executive Business Officer. “Using soccer as a way to spread awareness, Loudoun United is proud to be part of such a great cause.”
The mission is meant to call attention to the facts about pediatric cancer. Childhood cancer research is consistently underfunded and for many cancers, treatments are severely outdated, and awareness leads to funding and ultimately to research and better treatment options.
Loudoun United FC players and coaches will be wearing one-of-a-kind GOLD warmup shirts which will be offered in a silent auction through halftime on the concourse. All proceeds will go to the organizations.
In addition, Jonathan Eric Agin from PREP4Gold will be taking penalty shots at halftime to raise money for the battle against childhood cancer.
The night will include live music, concourse games, face painting, autograph opportunities and much more!
