Leesburg, VA – Loudoun United FC has revealed its full 2023 schedule, with the 5th season in the team’s history set to feature a 34-game regular season over 32 weeks in the quest to earn a berth to the 2023 USL Championship Playoffs.
Loudoun United FC travel on opening week to face Memphis 901 FC on Saturday, March 11. The Red-and-White face defending USL Championship title holders San Antonio FC in their home opener on March 19 at Segra Field. Other key home dates to note are a rare Friday appearance at Segra Field on June 9, what is sure to be an exciting and fun-filled match on July 3 and the final United home event on October 7.
23 of the 34 matches will be played on a Saturday. United will matchup against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, Las Vegas Lights FC and Rio Grande Valley FC for the first time in club history.
In a balanced schedule format, every team will play each of its conference foes twice – once at home, once away. The remaining 12 games of the season will be played against teams from the opposing conference, with six games at home and six away. This will result in every team in the league squaring off for the first time since the USL Championship instituted a two-conference format in 2015.
The Championship regular season will conclude on Saturday, Oct. 14 with a full slate of 12 games, including several intriguing contests that could decide postseason places and seeding for the top eight teams in the Eastern and Western Conferences.
