Leesburg, VA (March 15, 2024) – As Loudoun United FC (LUFC) prepares to face North Carolina FC in its home opener on Saturday, March 16, at Segra Field, we are pleased to announce a series of enhancements designed to elevate the fan experience for the upcoming 2024 season. These updates underscore LUFC’s commitment to delivering fun and affordable family-friendly entertainment.

With the new upgrades at Segra Field, we’re setting the stage for an even more engaging and enjoyable atmosphere that families and soccer enthusiasts alike will enjoy,” said Doug Raftery, Executive Business Officer of LUFC.
Below is an overview of the upgrades coming in 2024.
Parking Perks
- Free On-Site Parking: Say goodbye to parking fees for home matches. Our improved match day ingress means getting to the game is easier and faster, eliminating vehicle backup and ensuring a smooth and stress-free start to your experience.
Pre-Match and Post-Match Festivities
- Extended Entertainment: Starting 60 minutes before kickoff, fans can enjoy music, games, and activities on the concourse. With live DJs, local musicians, face painting, and photo ops, there is something for everyone.
- Player Interactions: Post-match, head to Section 108 for autographs or join the kids’ kick in Section 107 for some on-field action.
Special Home Opener Highlights
- Exclusive Giveaways and Discounts: Be one of the first 1,000 fans and receive a 2024 LUFC magnet schedule. Plus, enjoy 30% off drinks before the game from 2:45 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
- Family Fun Zone: Be part of the excitement at our Family Fun Zone, featuring ESPN 630 and an inflatable soccer dart game. Immerse yourself in interactive games, strike a pose at our photo station, and don’t miss the chance to meet our beloved mascot, Winger.
- Special Performance: Enjoy a performance of the Star-Spangled Banner by Ryan Sills, a former contestant on The Voice.
Theme Nights and Fireworks
- Post-Match Fireworks: Mark your calendars for post-match fireworks on Saturday, May 4; Friday, June 14; Wednesday, July 3; and Saturday, October 19.
- Family-Friendly Theme Nights: The first half of the promotional schedule includes Star Wars Night and Fireworks on Saturday, May 4; Capes and Crowns on Saturday, May 18; and the End of School Bash and Kids Takeover featuring a halftime baby race on Friday, June 14. - Giveaways: Giveaways for the season include a t-shirt on Saturday, April 20; a LUFC flag on Saturday, June 1; a retro bucket hat on Saturday, August 3; and limited-edition Marvel posters on Saturday, August 31.
Concessions
- Expanded Food Choices: From Travinia Italian Kitchen to Chick-fil-A Lansdowne Town Center, Paisano’s Pizza and Uncle Dave’s Kettle Korn at every game, your match day meal is covered. Hot chocolate and coffee will also be available at select matches.
- Grab-N-Go Convenience: Three new concession areas will streamline your snack and drink needs, letting you get back to the action faster.
New Merchandise
- New Kits: Don the “Shadow” or “703” kit from Capelli Sport, featuring unique designs that celebrate Loudoun County’s heritage and LUFC’s pride.
The “Shadow” kit, boasting a sleek black hue, has shadowed outlines of the LUFC Pegasus across the kit. The Pegasus is known for being in the center of the club crest and represents Loudoun County’s long association with equestrian sports. The kit also features a full-color logo on the left chest.
The “703” kit, showcases a striking combination of white and red, crafted from eight triangular pieces known as gyronny. These alternating red and white segments create a dynamic visual effect across the front, capturing the essence of the LUFC team spirit and unity. Notably, this LUFC kit includes an all-white logo on the left chest for the first time.
Youth kits will be available starting at the Home Opener on Saturday, March 16, and additional youth gear will be available all season long.
Enhanced Accessibility
- Easier Access to East Stands: We’re opening all staircases from Sections 108 – 114, enabling faster access to concessions, restrooms, and other concourse activities.
A Commitment to Recycling
- Join Our Recycling Initiative: In partnership with Coca-Cola, LUFC is introducing designated recycling stations, inviting fans to help us keep Segra Field green.
