Loudoun United FC sign Hakim Karamoko on loan from D.C. United
Leesburg, VA (May 30th, 2025) – Loudoun United Football Club has signed forward Hakim Karamoko on loan from MLS side D.C. United through the end of the 2025 MLS Season, pending league and federation approval. D.C. United may recall Karamoko at any point during the season.

Being in my first year as a professional, this will be a great opportunity for me to grow, gain valuable experience, and contribute right away,” said Hakim Karamoko. “I’m looking forward to helping the team push for a strong run this season and giving everything I have on and off the pitch.”
Karamoko was drafted 10th overall in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft out of North Carolina State University. He made his D.C. United debut on April 26 against the Philadelphia Union, coming on as a 71st-minute substitute. The 19-year-old subsequently made his first start for the Black-and-Red on May 6 in a 2-0 win over the Charleston Battery in the 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Karamoko has made two appearances for D.C. United across all competitions this season.
“I’ve watched him Hakim since his days at NC State, and we knew what we were getting. He’s a very good competitor and a left-footed player who can cut in from the right or play as a number nine,” said Head Coach Ryan Martin. “He’s explosive, he’s powerful, and his character will be a great addition to the locker room and what we’re trying to build. So, when we had the opportunity to bring Hakim in from D.C., it was a no-brainer, and we’re excited to integrate him into the team.”
The New York native was a standout at NC State University where he was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team in 2023. Karamoko led the Wolfpack in scoring during his sophomore season with seven goals and earned selections to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA D1 Men’s All-South Region First Team along with the All-ACC Second Team. Over two seasons (2023–2024), he recorded 11 goals and three assists across 31 appearances for the Wolfpack.
