Match Summary
Loudoun United got off to a strong start and opened the scoring in the 18th minute when a trialist found the back of the net to give the Red-and-White an early advantage. Loudoun doubled the lead in the 28th minute, as another trialist capitalized on sustained pressure to make it 2-0.
Richmond answered with a goal to cut into the deficit, but Loudoun remained organized and composed throughout the remainder of the match. The hosts sealed the results in the 78th minute when Thor Úlfarsson added Loudoun’s third goal of the afternoon, restoring the two-goal cushion and securing a 3-1 result.
