Leesburg, VA. (January 2, 2026) — Loudoun United FC have appointed Alen Marcina as the club’s new Sporting Director on a multi-year agreement, overseeing all sporting operations and long-term competitive strategy for the club.

Marcina brings more than a decade of professional coaching and leadership experience across multiple levels of the American soccer landscape. Most recently, he served as Head Coach for San Antonio FC, where he led the team to the 2022 USL Championship title and the 2022 Players’ Shield, awarded to the league’s best regular-season record, while guiding the club to the playoffs in each of his first four seasons.
Known for building championship-caliber teams and fostering strong, accountable cultures, Marcina has earned a reputation for transforming clubs into consistent contenders through clear identity, structure, and long-term playing.
