Leesburg, VA (January 5, 2026) — Loudoun United FC goalkeeper Ryan Jack has announced his retirement from professional soccer.
Jack joined Loudoun United FC as a goalkeeper and made appearances across league, playoff, and cup competitions during his time with the club. Wearing kit number 30, he recorded a total of five appearances across all competitions, including three regular season matches, one playoff appearance, and one cup appearance, while registering one clean sheet for the Red-and-White.
A Northern Virginia native, Jack’s journey to the professional ranks began at the youth level, where he competed in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) before continuing his development with Virginia Developmental Academy. His performances at Virginia Developmental Academy earned him an opportunity to play collegiate soccer at the University of Kentucky, where he established himself as one of the top goalkeepers in the conference.
During his junior season with the Wildcats, Jack was named Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week twice and led the conference in goals-against average, save percentage, and shutouts per match. He recorded four shutouts in seven conference matches and was awarded the Frank G. Ham Award for athletic and academic excellence.
Throughout his time with Loudoun United, Jack was valued for his professionalism, preparation, and leadership within the goalkeeping group. His commitment to the team and positive presence in the locker room made a lasting impression on teammates and staff alike.
Thank you, Ryan. You will always be a part of the Red-and-White family.
