Leesburg, VA. (January 5, 2026) — Loudoun United FC announces the appointment of Anthony Limbrick as the club’s new Head Coach on a multi-year contract, marking the start of a new chapter focused on identity, competitiveness, and long-term growth.
Limbrick brings extensive experience successfully coaching professional first teams internationally, as well as a background with elite academies and national youth teams. A holder of the UEFA Pro License, he is widely regarded for his dominant style of play and detailed approach. He has a history of delivering competitive first-team performances while developing talented players.

Limbrick began his coaching career in England, holding youth roles at Southampton FC and West Ham United, while also working with England’s U-17 national team. During this period, he assisted in developing international and Premier League players including Declan Rice, James Ward-Prowse, and Luke Shaw. He has since managed clubs in the National League and English Football League, including Grimsby Town, Woking FC, and Hartlepool United, the latter where he secured the club’s second highest finish in the last decade.
Limbrick’s most successful spell came at The New Saints, where he led the Welsh club to a league title and Welsh Cup, overseeing one of the most dominant seasons in club history and becoming the first Australian manager to win a top-flight European league championship. Furthermore, he led the club into Europe, competing in the UEFA Championship League qualifiers and the UEFA Conference League. Limbrick won Manager of the Year after impressing with the league’s best attack, scoring 84 goals, and the strongest defense, conceding just 17.
