Leesburg, VA. (January 23, 2026) — Loudoun United FC announce that the club has signed goalkeeper Ethan Bandré to a two-year contract, pending league and federation approval.
Bandré, 27, joins the Red-and-White after most recently competing in the USL Championship with Tampa Bay Rowdies during the 2025 season. Bandré brings professional experience at both the MLS and MLS NEXT Pro levels, adding competition to Loudoun United’s goalkeeping unit heading into the 2026 campaign.
“I’m super excited to join Loudoun United and get to work,” said Ethan Bandré. “I think it’s going to be a great season. We got a bunch of great guys and it’s going to be a successful year.”
Bandré spent the 2024 season under contract with the Colorado Rapids, splitting time between the Major League Soccer roster and the club’s MLS NEXT Pro affiliate, Colorado Rapids 2. He made 13 appearances for Rapids 2 in MLS NEXT Pro, continuing his development within one of the league’s top professional environments.
“We couldn’t be happier to have Ethan Bandré joining us,” said Anthony Limbrick, Head Coach of Loudoun United FC. “He is a talented, high-character individual who adds significant depth and quality to our goalkeeping department. His arrival marks another step forward in our goal to build the most competitive roster possible.”
Prior to his time in Colorado, Bandré began his professional career with Sporting Kansas City II, signing his first pro contract in 2022. He spent two seasons with the club and made 20 league appearances, establishing himself as a reliable presence in MLS NEXT Pro play.
Bandré played college soccer at Pacific University before transferring to Northwestern University, where he continued to develop at the Division I level. While in college, he also gained valuable experience in USL League Two, competing for Kaw Valley Fc and later Des Moines Menace, helping Des Moines win the USL League Two Championship in 2021.
“Ethan Bandré aligns strongly with Loudoun United’s identity as a team-first, competitive, and standards-driven goalkeeper, bringing leadership, professionalism, and daily consistency to the group,” said Alen Marcina, Sporting Director for Loudoun United FC. “He is a culture giver and excellent communicator, highly coachable with a strong learning mindset, and demonstrates high upside through his commitment to collective success, continuous improvement, and raising the level of those around him.”
