
Leesburg, VA. (January 27, 2026) — Loudoun United FC have been drawn away to face West Chester United SC in the First Round of the 2026 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is U.S. Soccer’s national championship tournament bringing together professional and amateur clubs from across the country in a single-elimination format. The 111th edition of this historic competition will begin with a 32-game First Round held across March 17-19.
Loudoun United will travel to Wayne, Pennsylvania for the First Round matchup on Tuesday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m. ET at YSC Sports. Loudoun United previously faced West Chester United SC in the 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup First Round, earning a 3-2 road victory to advance in the competition.
All 32 First Round matches will be streamed live, with CBS Sports returning as the multimedia rights partner for the 2026 tournament. Matches not airing on CBS Sports platforms will be available via U.S. Soccer’s YouTube channel.
The Open Cup features a total of 80 teams competing for a $1 million purse, with the tournament winner earning a berth in the 2027 CONCACAF Champions Cup. First Round winners will advance to the Second Round on March 31 or April 1, with Major League Soccer clubs entering the competition in the Round of 32 on April 14 or 15.
