The gravity of the match needs no explanation. The first outing against FC Tulsa ended in a dramatic 2-2 draw at Segra Field. FC Tulsa currently sit just below playoff qualification in eighth place, leading Loudoun United by 10 points.

Loudoun United FC (LUFC) come off a rivalry win against Atlanta United 2 on Saturday, Aug. 20. Tyler Freeman scored his sixth goal of the season in the eighth minute from the penalty spot while Jeremy Garay scored his first professional goal in the 93rd minute.
Zoumana Diarra recorded his second assist for Loudoun United this season.
The Red-and-White had two players recognized on USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 24. Jeremy Garay had a box-to-box performance recording one goal and four chances created. Garay held a 94% passing accuracy in 90 minutes played.
Defender Jalen Robinson was an honorable mention on the Team of the Week Bench, winning 14 of 18 tackles and 5 of 8 aerial duels.
Loudoun United look to make a last-minute push to disrupt the Eastern Conference standings. With a win at ONEOK Field and some luck, the Red-and-White could jump two positions in the standings.

About FC Tulsa
The Black-and-Gold come off a midweek loss against Hartford Athletic on Wednesday night. In a frustrating contest, Hartford topped FC Tulsa 2-1 at ONEOK Field. Tulsa managed to record 25 total shots on the night including a successful penalty kick from Darío Suárez in the 81st minute.
Wednesday’s loss was only the second defeat FC Tulsa has suffered at ONEOK Field since mid-April. The club is 7-4-2 at home with four home matches remaining including the contest against Loudoun United.
Like Loudoun United, Tulsa found a player on Team of the Week for Week 24. Goalkeeper Austin Wormell was named Player of the Week following a seven-save shutout against Indy Eleven.
Wednesday’s injury report included Abuchi Obinwa, Brian Brown and Jorge Corrales sitting out of the last match.
