A Night for Hunter - Loudoun United FC

Hunter Bohnenblust’s connection to Loudoun United FC is one that will always hold a special place in the heart of the club. In 2025, Hunter, a 9-year-old Loudoun Soccer player and passionate soccer fan, signed a one-day contract with the Red-and-White and served as the club’s honorary captain. After being diagnosed with a brain tumor, Hunter showed incredible courage, strength, and joy, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of meeting him.

A Night for Hunter, Kick Childhood Cancer is a chance for the Loudoun community to come together to honor his memory, celebrate the light he brought to those around him, and support the fight against childhood cancer.

NONPROFIT OF THE MATCH

The Hunter’s Heroes Fund helps young players in Loudoun Soccer’s Financial Assistance program receive the equipment they need to participate in the sport they love.

Each season, the fund provides gift cards to players in Loudoun Soccer’s Challenge program to help cover essential items such as cleats, shin guards and apparel. During its first distribution in Spring 2026, the Hunter’s Heroes Fund supported more than 50 players!

Through Hunter’s Heroes, Hunter’s love of sports and his caring spirit continue to make a difference by helping more children step onto the field with confidence.

SIGN-UP FOR THE COLOR RUN

Start A Night for Hunter by joining our pre-match Color Run at Segra Field on Saturday, August 1.

Fans of all ages are invited to run, walk, and fill the stadium with color as we celebrate Hunter Bohnenblust’s life and the joy he brought to the Loudoun community.

Color Run T-shirts will be provided to registered participants and can be picked up during check-in before the run.

Pre-match Color Run
- Sign up for our pre-match Color Run when purchasing your ticket!
Wear your favorite sports jersey!
- Fans are encouraged to wear a jersey from any sport or team to the match in honor of Hunter!
  - It does not have to be a Loudoun United jersey; wear your favorite and help us celebrate Hunter together.

Pre-match high five tunnel
- All kids ages 5-14 can participate in the pre-match high-five tunnel on the field to give a high-five to the players as they walk out of the tunnels!

- Loudoun United FC players will greet fans and sign autographs. We will have autograph sheets that can be signed and sharpies for you!
