Loudoun United News
Loudoun United FC (LUFC) enter Saturday’s matchup following a two-match week. The stakes are growing amidst a battle to stay in playoff contention.
16-year-old Kristian Fletcher recorded his first professional goal during a tough midweek battle against Birmingham Legion FC. The United States U-19 international’s first professional goal was one to remember as he cut in from the left flank and curled home a precise finish to the bottom-right corner. Skage Simonsen recorded his second assist of the season with a lofted pass that led Fletcher to the goal-scoring opportunity.
Loudoun United FC made four changes to the lineup ahead of the matchup on Sat., July 30. Loudoun United FC led the match with 53% possession but fell to Monterey Bay FC after allowing another heartbreaking extra time goal. Gaoussou Samaké was loaned from D.C. United and was subbed in at halftime.
Midfielder Houssou Landry is available for selection this Saturday after serving his one game suspension following a red card against Birmingham Legion FC.
