The Red-and-White are back on the road for a midweek matchup against San Antonio FC on Wednesday, August 10. Kickoff between Loudoun United and San Antonio is set for 9:00 PM EST. This will be the first-ever matchup between the two clubs in the USL Championship.

Loudoun United FC (LUFC) enter Wednesday’s match following a massive shutout win against LA Galaxy II on Aug. 6. With the win, the Red-and-White climbed three places in the Eastern Conference standings.
17-year-old Kristian Fletcher recorded his first professional brace to lead the team to victory. The United States U-19 international has scored in his last two starts for LUFC.
Both of Loudoun United’s goals on the night had Ivory Coast influence. Gaoussou Samaké had the secondary assist for both goals while Zoumana Diarra and Abdoul Zanne recorded an assist apiece.
Goalkeeper Luis Zamudio was instrumental on the night, saving two shots for his fifth clean sheet of the season.
With only one away win this season, Loudoun United look to battle for playoff contention with a big win at Western Conference’s first place team, San Antonio.

San Antonio look to bounce back from a 0-3 loss at San Diego Loyal SC. The team’s record is 16-4-2 with 50 points, sitting them atop the Western Conference standings.
After a scoreless 64 minutes, San Diego scored in the 65th, 72nd and 77th minute. The loss snapped a streak of nine-straight matches without a defeated for the Texas-side.
