
Loudoun United FC midfielder Tyler Freeman and forward Skage Simonsen were named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 29, the league announced today. In addition, midfielder Ted Ku-DiPietro was named to USL Championship Team of the Week Bench.
Tyler Freeman came off the bench in the 66th minute with Loudoun United up 1-0 on Hartford Athletic. By the 74th minute, Freeman had scored twice to secure the 3-0 victory. The midfielder now leads Loudoun United with eight goals on the season.
Skage Simonsen contributed a pair of assists, creating a total of four chances in Loudoun’s midweek victory. Simonsen also created a chance in Loudoun’s match against Indy Eleven over the weekend. The Norwegian has recorded a team-high seven assists this season.
Ted Ku-DiPietro recorded both a goal and an assist in a 90-minute performance against Hartford Athletic. The D.C. Homegrown also created three chances, completed three dribbles and won eight duels.
The Red-and-White are back home on Saturday as they face Detroit City FC at Segra Field. Kickoff is set for 6:15 p.m. EST. Tickets for the match are available here.
