Leesburg, VA. (March 10, 2022) – Loudoun United FC announced today the club has signed midfielder Aidan Rocha ahead of the 2023 USL Championship season.
“Aidan [Rocha] is a player we have had our eye on for a while during his time at Georgetown University,” Ryan Martin, Loudoun United FC Head Coach, said. “He is a tremendous competitor who never backs down from a challenge. Rocha picks up concepts quickly and can play multiple positions. We are excited to add Aidan to the 2023 team.”
Rocha was selected by D.C. United with the 60th overall pick (Third Round) in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft. The five-foot-eight-inch midfielder spent preseason with D.C. United in the Coachella Valley Invitational.
Rocha scored five goals and recorded six assists in 69 appearances (52 starts) for Georgetown University from 2019 to 2022, he scored three goals and recorded three assists in 20 appearances.
While at Georgetown, the Maryland-native was named the BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year and named First Team All-BIG EAST.
