Awuah and Valot Awarded USL Championship Team of the Week Honors for Week 6
Loudoun United’s Kwame Awuah and Florian Valot secured their spots on the USL Championship Team of the Week following their week six performances in a 2-1 comeback win over Memphis 901 FC.
Awuah recorded his second assist of the season in the 42nd minute, setting up Zach Ryan for his third goal of the season so far.
Valot also recorded his second assist of the season via a corner kick. Valot’s ball found the head of Drew Skundrich who netted the game winning goal in the 69th minute.
The Red-and-White hit the road to face the Richmond Kickers in the Lamar Hunt U.S Open Cup on Wednesday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m. ET. Following the midweek matchup, Loudoun return home to regular season play, hosting Louisville City FC on Saturday, April 20th at 3:45 p.m. ET.
