Post Match Conversations
Head Coach Ryan Martin on conceding early:
- “I felt like it was obviously a poor start to the match and we can’t conceded a goal at home in the first minute and expect to beat many teams. In particular, we can’t gift goals away from our turnovers and bad defending. It puts you in a hole.”
Head Coach Ryan Martin on bouncing back ahead of Tuesday’s match against NCFC:
- “When you go down 2-0 at home, against a veteran team, you’re not going to win many games in this league. Hopefully it’s a lesson learned and we can keep going forward.”
Robby Dambrot on the result and next match:
- “We just have to learn from this quickly. Obviously, we’re all disappointed. We came out flat, responded well but gave up the second goal and were chasing from there. We don’t have time to dwell on this. We have to learn from this and prepare for Tuesday.”
Tommy McCabe on going down 1-0 in the first minute:
- “We put ourselves behind really early in the game and couldn’t get back to it. I think that’s the main theme- we have to come out strong and keep ourselves in the game, especially early on.”
