LEESBURG, VA- On a 70 degree Saturday night, Loudoun United defeated Miami FC in a 4-1 home win.
The action started early when Miami striker Rocco Genzano scored a looping header, in the second minute, beating an outstretched Hugo Fauroux at the back post.

In the eighth minute of stoppage time, Loudoun were awarded a penalty after Wesley Leggett was brought down inside the box. Abdellatif Aboukoura stepped up to the spot and calmly placed the ball into the bottom left corner, equalizing for the Red-and-White.

One minute after the penalty kick, Miami were reduced to 10 men following a second yellow card and subsequent red card to F. Lรณpez for dissent. Shortly after, Fauroux’s cat-like reflexes came into play, making a save off a header to go into the half 1-1.
In the 51st minute, Miami were further reduced to nine men following a second yellow card and subsequent red card shown to Nicolรกs Cardona following a challenge through the back of Aboukoura.
Second half substitute Kalil ElMedkhar would break the deadlock in the 66th minute, putting Loudoun up 2-1 with a beautifully curled shot into the back post.

Just 10 minutes later ElMedkhar scored his second of the match, putting Loudoun up 3-1.

In the 83rd minute, Valot had the opportunity to turn goalscorer from assist man after Loudoun was awarded a penalty kick. Valot stepped up to the spot, however his shot hit the right post and went wide. In the 90′ +2 minute, Tommy Williamson scored an outstanding free kick goal, finishing off the match and securing a 4-1 win.
