The Matchup
Loudoun United Football Club (8-5-1) currently sits in 3rd place in the Eastern Conference with 25 points. The Red-and-White are looking to bounce back following back-to-back conference losses to Hartford Athletic and Louisville City. Loudoun remains perfect in Jägermeister Cup play, however, after securing a penalty-kick shootout victory over Charlotte Independence on Saturday. On the other side, Orange County SC sits in 9th place in the Western Conference with a record of 5-6-1 and 16 points. Orange County is coming off a 3-0 road win over El Paso Locomotive in league play and a 1-0 home win over Sacramento Republic FC in the Jägermeister Cup.
The last time these two clubs met was in May of the 2024 season, when Loudoun United earned a 2-0 road win at Championship Soccer Stadium with goals from Florian Valot and Zach Ryan. Players to watch on the Loudoun side include Abdellatif Aboukoura, who has 14 goals across all competitions this season, and Florian Valot, who is tied for second place in league play for assists. For Orange County, Tristan Turner, Ryan Doghman, and Nico Benalcazar lead their side with two goals each in league play.
