Leesburg, VA (October 30th, 2025) – Loudoun United FC makes its playoff debut in an instant rematch against North Carolina FC at WakeMed Soccer Park this Saturday, November 1st. The match kicks off at 7:30 PM ET and will be available to stream on ESPN+.
The Matchup
The Red-and-White hit the road to face off against a familiar Eastern Conference foe in North Carolina FC for the first round of the USL Championship Playoffs. Just last weekend, in the regular season finale, North Carolina traveled up to Segra Field and handed Loudoun United a 1-0 loss. Now, Loudoun United will look to the same just a week later, this time in a do-or-die playoff match. This will be the fourth meeting between the two clubs across all competitions this season. In their regular-season matchups, both clubs took a road win on the opposing side’s home turf. The third matchup came in the USL Jägermeister Cup, where Loudoun United fell 5-3 in a penalty kick shootout at WakeMed Soccer Park.
Players to look out for on the Red-and-White include the club’s leading goal scorer, Abdellatif Aboukoura, who tallied 12 regular-season goals this season. Others to look out for include Florian Valot and Ben Mines, who tallied 15 regular-season assists between the two of them this season. On the other side, North Carolina’s Evan Conway leads his side with nine regular-season goals, followed closely by Pedro Dolabella. Michael Maldanldo leads North Carolina in assists, with eight.
