Loudoun. VA- This past weekend Loudoun United FC hosted their first ever open tryouts. Coach Richie Williams, with the help of D.C. United’s technical staff and OrthoVirginia's athletic trainers, ran tryouts on Saturday and Sunday for players to come out and see if they have what it takes to join the team. These players came to Loudoun from all over the country to test their ability. There were a fortunate few that were chosen to take the next step forward on a trial basis.
“We saw a lot of talent out on the field the past two days,” said Head Coach Richie Williams. “We are excited to have some of these players that came out to try outs, train with us for further evaluation.”
Loudoun United will start their training this week at Robert F. Kennedy Stadium and will have some of the standout talent from this weekend’s tryout attend these training sessions. These players will be participating on a trial basis with the hope of being signed for the inaugural season.
