Leesburg, VA (July 24th, 2025) – Loudoun United Football Club is set to face North Carolina FC on the road this Saturday, July 26th, at 7:30 PM for the 4th and final round of the USL Jägermeister Cup Knockout Stage.
The Matchup
The Red-and-White are back on the road for the final round of the USL Jägermeister Cup Knockout Stage against North Carolina FC this Saturday at WakeMed Soccer Park. With a regulation or shootout win over North Carolina, Loudoun United would host the quarterfinal match at Segra Field on August 20th. In USL Cup play, the Red-and-White are undefeated with two wins and one shootout win and sit in first place in Group 5 with eight points through the first three rounds. On the other side, North Carolina FC looks to play the spoiler against Loudoun, having been eliminated from contending for the USL Jägermeister Cup in the last round and currently sitting in fifth place in the group with three points.
On the USL Championship side, Loudoun United (8-6-3) sits in third place, just one point and one place above North Carolina FC (8-6-2). Abdellatif Aboukoura leads the Red-and-White in USL Cup goals with two, and Tommy McCabe and Yanis Leerman lead in distribution with 200+ passes completed each.
With a regulation or shootout win over North Carolina FC, Loudoun United FC would win the group and host the quarterfinal matchup at Segra Field on August 20th.
