Loudoun United FC is back on the road to take on Eastern Conference rival Detroit City FC this Saturday, October 11th, at Keyworth Stadium. The Red-and-White currently sits in 5th place in the Eastern Conference with 39 points and a record of 11-10-6. Loudoun United dropped to 5th place following Hartford’s midweek win over Oakland this week. The Red-and-White are looking to bounce back following a 1-0 loss to Birmingham Legion FC at Segra Field last weekend. On the other side, Detroit City sits in 7th place in the East with a record of 9-10-8 and 35 points. Detroit is coming off a strong 2-0 victory over North Carolina FC this past weekend.
Players to watch out for on the Loudoun United side include Abdellatif Aboukoura, who has 12 goals in league play thus far, as well as Florian Valot, who has eight assists on the season. For Detroit, Darren Smith leads the club with 10 goals, followed by Alasanne Diouf, who has five. Both clubs will be looking to clinch their spot in the 2025 USL Championship Playoffs. Forward Arquímides Ordóñez will miss Saturday’s matchup against Detroit City FC due to being called up to the Guatemala National Team for their 2026 World Cup Qualifier matches this week.
Forward Zach Ryan will miss Saturday’s matchup against Detroit City FC due to a one-match suspension he will serve from a red card against Birmingham Legion last weekend.
