Leesburg, VA (April 7, 2026) — Loudoun United FC has signed defenders Chloe Nelson and Samantha Shroeder to its USL W team for the 2026 season.
Nelson joins the club following her freshman season at James Madison University. Prior to JMU, she competed for Virginia Development Academy at the club level and attended Colgan High School, where she earned four consecutive years on the Honor Roll. As a junior, she served as team captain and led her side to a district title while earning First Team All-District and All-Region honors. As a sophomore, she helped guide her team to a VHSL 6A state championship, along with region and district titles, again earning First Team All-District and All-Region recognition. Nelson was also part of the 2022 Girls Academy National Championship team and was recognized as an IMG Top 50 player.
“Bringing Chloe Nelson into our squad is a huge win for this club,” said USL Head Coach, Christian Cziommer. “Beyond her technical quality and athleticism, she understands the culture we are building here. Having a player of her caliber represent this community is a testament to the talent in this region and our commitment to providing a platform for the best players to shine.”
