1. How does it feel returning to Loudoun County to play for your hometown team?
I couldn’t be more excited and more grateful to be able to come home and play for my hometown club in a community where some of my favorite memories are here, growing up playing sports. Memories like winning the State Championship with Broad Run, kicking footballs around at school and meeting some of my best friends in Ashburn, Virginia. This community has given me so much, I hope to do whatever I can on and off the field to give back to a community that has given so much to me.
2. What is your favorite soccer memory?
I am going to have to go with two memories. The first one is winning the State Championship with Broad Run High School senior year with guys I grew up playing with, a lot from Loudoun Soccer club. We had one last chance to take the field together our senior year and to be able to lift up that trophy with them was something special and something I’ll never forget. The second one being my sophomore year of college scoring a goal in over time against Georgetown who was highly ranked at the time, that was what really launched my career in college and gave me the opportunity to play at the next level.
3. What are your goals for the 2021 season?
Really I just want to take this season to grow. I’m so grateful to have another opportunity to play this game I love so much. It’s been a long off season for me to get healthy, for me to get back on my feet and just attack every day. I hope that I implement that on the field and solidify myself as a player in this league that can score goals in a variety of ways. Beyond that, develop relationships with guys in the locker room that will last and create a good locker room culture. Lastly, I want enjoy every minute, it’s pretty special that I get the opportunity to come home and play in front of friends and family who rarely get to see me play live and in person so I am excited to experience that with them.
4. What motivates you?
One of my biggest motivators is as a guy who is rooted by faith as a priority in my life is what can I do with the game? This game has given me so much, so many opportunities and so many incredible relationships, I am so grateful for every opportunity I get to play this game, especially at the professional level. I want to use every chance I have for something that’s bigger than myself especially coming back to a community that has given me so much. I really hope I can use every opportunity to serve this community, to give back and to spread a message of love and hope in any way I can.
5. What is your favorite post practice meal?
Chicken, rice, potatoes and broccoli
6. Favorite soccer team?
Tottenham Hotspurs!
