Three Loudoun United players earned USL Championship Team of the Week honors for Week 14. Following an excellent performance, Zach Ryan and Abdoul Zanne have been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week, while Kalil ElMedkhar landed himself on Team of the Week Bench.
Defender Abdoul Zanne put in a stellar two-way display, completing 25 of 31 passes and 2 of 3 dribbles while winning 2 of 2 tackles and 2 of 2 aerial duels and recording 11 recoveries and two blocked shots in Loudoun’s victory over FC Tulsa.
Forward Zach Ryan scored twice and played a key role in Loudoun’s other goal in the 3-1 victory. Ryan recorded five shots on target and completed 16 of 21 passes.
Midfielder Kalil ElMedkhar was instrumental in the Red-and-White’s attack. ElMedkhar recorded one assist and two chances created. In addition, he held an 89% passing accuracy, completed 6 dribbles and nine duels won.
The Red-and-White are back on the road on Saturday, June 16 as they take on Miami FC.
