On Sunday, March 19th the Red-and-White return to Segra Field to host the reigning 2022 USL Championship Champions, San Antonio FC. Kickoff is slated for 3:45 p.m. ET.
Following a big win on the road, Loudoun United look to continue the streak of upsets in the 2023 USL Championship season.

Loudoun United FC head into Sunday’s match with high spirits. In a 3-1 win on the road against Memphis 901 FC, the Red-and-White opened the scoring early. Red-and-White’s Tommy Williamson finished off an impressive team goal that was nominated for USL Goal of the Week. Forward Zach Ryan secured the win with two goals of his own. Zach Ryan and Kalil ElMedkhar were named to USL Team of the Week following their performance.
Ten Red-and-White players saw their Loudoun debut in the season opener including new signing, midfielder Aidan Rocha. The Georgetown graduate was quickly acclimated to the team, starting in the season opener following his announcement on Friday, March 10. Click here to learn more about the new signing.
Two familiar names rejoin the squad ahead of the 2023 season, Jeremy Garay and Gaoussou Samaké. Both players join Loudoun United on a full-season loan from D.C. United. Click here to learn more.
Ahead of the season opener, forward Zach Ryan and defender Cole Turner were announced as Loudoun United’s co-captains.
Loudoun is set to debut their new home kits at Segra Field. Be on the lookout for Loudoun’s newest partner, Betfred. Betfred will be the back-of-jersey sponsor for the Red-and-White home and away kits.

Forward Kimarni Smith will be returning to Segra Field, this time in Black-and-White colors. San Antonio FC signed Smith in the off-season following the conclusion of the 2022 USL Championship season.
In addition, San Antonio announced the signing of defender Lamar Batista to a 25-day contract. Batista went on to score twice and assist once in his SAFC debut. His performance landed him a spot on the USL Championship Team of the Week.
The 2022 reigning USL Championship Champions look to stay undefeated in the 2023 season. San Antonio come off a 3-1 win against Oakland on opening weekend.
Match Up History
Loudoun United FC is 0-1-0 overall against San Antonio FC. The Red-and-White last faced off against the Texas-side on August 10, 2022, at Toyota Field in a 1-2 loss.
