Leesburg, VA (August 19th) – Arquímides Ordóñez earns USL Championship Player of the Week – Week 24 for his two-goal performance in Loudoun United Football Club’s comeback victory over Indy Eleven. Tommy McCabe gets Team of the Week Bench honors for his standout performance against Indy Eleven as well.
Quimi Ordóñez tallied a brace in the club’s 3-2 comeback victory over Indy Eleven at Segra Field this past Saturday. Subbing into the match in the 59th minute of play, Ordóñez made an instant impact, netting his first goal with the club in the 63rd minute to level the match at 1-1. Then, with the match tied 2-2, Ordóñez bagged his second goal of the night, a match-winner in the 86th minute of play, to secure three big points for Loudoun United.
Tommy McCabe tallied four shots, 84 accurate passes (91%), 102 touches, and 17 final third entries in the club’s win over Indy this past Saturday. Not to mention, this was McCabe’s 150th USL Championship appearance.
