Leesburg, VA (April 27, 2026) — Loudoun United FC has signed forwards Abdul Kamara and Martim Sereno and defenders Braxton Hayes and Joel Brown to its USL Two team for the 2026 season, pending league and federation approval.
Kamara joins Loudoun United after two seasons at George Mason University before transferring to UMBC. The Virginia native appeared in seven matches during the 2024 season, making one start and logging 206 minutes while recording one assist. He was efficient in front of goal, placing both of his shots on target. In Atlantic 10 play, Kamara featured in four matches, contributing an assist while continuing to show his attacking presence. During his freshman campaign in 2023, Kamara made an immediate impact, scoring two goals in seven appearances while logging 129 minutes. He scored his first collegiate goal in his debut against UMBC and added a second goal later in the season against Radford.
“Abdul joins us after being identified at our first open tryout back in December,” said Loudoun United USL Two Head Coach Matthew Mountford. “He brings an attacking threat off both sides and has the ability to come inside or take players down the line. He is an exciting prospect who we believe can reach an even higher level, and fans will enjoy watching him this season.”
