
Leesburg, VA (April 29, 2026) — Loudoun United FC has signed goalkeeper Oliver Weng, defender Liam Barrus, midfielder Barrett Saul and forward Sydney Aggrey to its USL Two team for the 2026 season, pending league and federation approval.
Weng joins Loudoun United following his time at Florida Gulf Coast University before transferring to the University of Portland, where he is currently continuing his development. A goalkeeper with strong experience in high-level environments, Weng started all nine matches he appeared in during the 2024 season at FGCU, logging 804 minutes while recording a 66.7% save percentage. He registered one shutout on the season and allowed just 16 goals across 119 shots faced. A product of the D.C. United academy system, Weng has consistently competed against top competition and brings a commanding presence between the posts. Prior to his collegiate career, Weng starred at Gonzaga College High School, where he recorded three shutouts, a 1.03 goals-against average, and 36 saves across his senior season.
“Oliver joins us, having come through the D.C. United system and has extensive experience in top-level environments,” said Loudoun United USL Two Head Coach Matthew Mountford. “He is currently at the University of Portland and is excelling in his first season there. Barrus signs with Loudoun United as one of the top local prospects in the region. A Loudoun native and current player for VA Revolution, Barrus has steadily progressed through the ranks, earning opportunities at increasingly competitive levels. He became a varsity starter at center back as a freshman at Woodgrove High School before competing in the UPSL Premier League during his sophomore year. As a junior, Barrus earned First Team All-District and Second Team All-Region honors while captaining his MLS NEXT side in Virginia. During his senior year, he trained with Loudoun United’s USL Championship team in preseason, gaining valuable experience at the professional level. Known for his leadership, work ethic, and defensive tenacity, Barrus represents the club’s commitment to developing local talent.

Saul returns to Loudoun County as a proven collegiate midfielder. In his last season at Old Dominion University, Saul appeared in 18 matches with 14 starts, contributing three goals and two assists while playing a key role in the center of the pitch. Prior to ODU, Saul spent time at West Virginia University, gaining experience across multiple seasons, including an assist in a 4-0 victory over George Washington during the 2024 campaign. A graduate of Tuscarora High School, Saul developed with Virginia Development Academy and gained international experience during a gap year in Spain with Alboraya UD. Known for his technical ability, and composure in possession, Saul is capable of operating as a No. 6, 8, or 10 and brings versatility and intelligence to the midfield.
“Barrett joins us from the top-class ODU program where he has been a standout performer in the center of the pitch,” said Loudoun United USL Two Head Coach Matthew Mountford. “Identified at our invitational tryouts, he brings calmness to the middle and wins his duels, which will be so important in this league. Aggrey joins Loudoun United after developing through the D.C. United Academy system and continuing his collegiate career at Canisius College. A physically imposing forward, Aggrey appeared in 14 matches during his sophomore season in 2025, making three starts while recording one goal and one assist. He scored his first collegiate goal against Sacred Heart and added an assist in a win over Quinnipiac. Prior to college, he helped the D.C. United Academy capture a national championship and was a standout multi-sport athlete in high school, earning multiple all-region honors in track and field. His combination athleticism makes him a difficult matchup for defenders.

United system and possesses all the attributes needed to be a top center forward,” said Loudoun United USL Two Head Coach Matthew Mountford. “His physical qualities will be a huge asset for us this year, and signing him is a great addition to the team. Currently playing at Canisius College in upstate New York, he is a handful for any defender, and we know fans will react positively to him from game one.”
