
Leesburg, VA (May 7, 2026) — Loudoun United FC has signed defender Graham Jones, goalkeeper Facundo Clavijo, and forward Alexander Diaz to its USL Two team for the 2026 season, pending league and federation approval.
Jones joins Loudoun United from the University of Virginia, bringing local ties and professional experience to the club’s USL Two back line. Jones developed through the D.C. United Academy and was recognized as a four-star recruit by Top Drawer Soccer. He was ranked No. 51 overall, No. 2 in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and No. 17 among defenders in the 2025 signing class. Prior to his collegiate career, Jones gained valuable professional minutes with Loudoun United, making four appearances in the USL Championship and one appearance in the U.S. Open Cup. He made his collegiate debut for Virginia in 2025, logging 21 minutes against Stetson.
“Graham is a really versatile outside back who comes from the D.C. United Academy,” said Loudoun United FC USL Two Head Coach Matthew Mountford. “He will bring significant professional experience to the locker room and we look forward to seeing how he develops and progresses here this summer.”

Clavijo signs with Loudoun United from Virginia Revolution SC, adding goalkeeping depth and strong local connections to the USL Two roster. Clavijo has been heavily involved with VA Revolution as both a player and coach, currently working with the next generation of players through the club’s youth development structure. After beginning as an Academy coach, he earned a promotion to travel coach and now leads the 14B Yellow team. His continued playing experience, leadership, and commitment to player development bring added energy and accountability to Loudoun’s goalkeeper group.

Diaz joins Loudoun United from the University of Findlay, bringing attacking versatility to the club’s USL Two side. A native of Perrysburg, Ohio, Diaz was a standout at Perrysburg High School, where he helped lead his team to a conference championship and district appearance. He was named to the all-state team twice, earned first team all-district and all-conference honors for three seasons, and was recognized as District Player of the Year. Diaz also finished his high school career as the program’s record holder for most career goals.
“Alex comes to us from a tough collegiate conference which physically prepares him to compete and adds a layer to our attacking intent,” said Loudoun United FC USL Two Head Coach Matthew Mountford. “He has all the qualities needed for success at this level. We are excited to have him here and look forward to his progress over the season.”
