Leesburg, VA (August 6, 2026) – Loudoun United FC sign midfielder Giorgi Lomtadze for the remainder of the 2026 USL Championship season, pending league and federation approval.
Lomtadze joins the Red-and-White after beginning the 2026 season with Monterey Bay FC. The Georgian winger made 10 USL Championship appearances, including four starts, and recorded 322 minutes for Monterey Bay. Comfortable playing on either side of the attack, Lomtadze adds versatility and international experience to Loudoun’s attacking group.
Prior to moving to the United States, Lomtadze competed in Georgia’s Erovnuli Liga, the country’s top division. He joined Dinamo Tbilisi in July 2025 and made 15 appearances across all competitions during his time with the club.
“Giorgi is an accomplished technical attacking player who brings versatility to our group,” said Anthony Limbrick, Head Coach of Loudoun United FC. “He is comfortable operating in different areas across the front line and has the ability to be creative in the final third. We believe his experience and attacking qualities will strengthen the group, and we look forward to working with him moving forward.”
Lomtadze previously spent three seasons with FC Gagra, recording 12 goals and five assists in 91 appearances across all competitions. His professional career has also included time with Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv, Dila Gori, Samtredia and Lokomotivi Tbilisi.
On the international stage, Lomtadze has represented Georgia at the U-17, U-19 and U-21 levels, earning 10 youth international appearances.
