Leesburg, VA (September 2, 2026) — Loudoun United FC announce that the club has signed midfielder Rida Zouhir for the remainder of the 2026 USL Championship season and through the 2027 season, pending league and federation approval.
Zouhir joins the Red-and-White with experience across Major League Soccer and the USL Championship. The midfielder has previously competed with D.C. United, CF Montréal, Birmingham Legion FC, and San Antonio FC during his professional career.

Most recently in the United States, Zouhir spent the 2025 season with D.C. United after signing with the club as a free agent in February. Prior to joining D.C., he spent four seasons with CF Montréal, making 27 appearances across all competitions. In 2024, Zouhir made nine appearances for Montréal across all competitions before joining Birmingham Legion FC on loan in August. He scored two goals in 10 USL Championship appearances during his time with Birmingham.

He’s comfortable on the ball and can create opportunities from midfield. We think he gives us another quality option in that area of the field and we’re excited to work with him as we head into an important part of the season.”
Zouhir enjoyed a breakout season in the USL Championship with San Antonio FC in 2023 after joining the club on loan from Montréal. The midfielder recorded eight goals and four assists in 25 appearances for San Antonio, including his first professional goal against New Mexico United.
The Montreal native began his development with the CF Montréal Academy before signing his first professional contract as a Homegrown player on December 4, 2020. Zouhir made his professional debut as a substitute against D.C. United on August 8, 2021, before earning his first MLS start against New York City FC on March 12, 2022.
At the international level, Zouhir has represented both Morocco and Canada at the U-20 level. He was called into the Moroccan U-20 National Team in March 2022 and appeared against Romania in a 2-2 draw. Later that year, Zouhir represented Canada at the 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship, appearing in all three group stage matches and the Round of 16.
