Leesburg, VA (September 23, 2026) — Loudoun United FC continues its road stretch this Friday with a trip to Florida to take on Sporting JAX. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET at Hodges Stadium as the Red-and-White look to close out their road swing with three points.
The Matchup
Loudoun enters Friday’s match following a 2-1 loss against Louisville City FC at Lynn Family Stadium. The Red-and-White opened the scoring in the fifth minute when Abdellatif Aboukoura found Eddy Davis III in the box, with Davis heading home to give Loudoun an early advantage. Louisville responded with two goals late in the first half to take the lead before Loudoun continued to push for an equalizer throughout the second half but was unable to find the breakthrough.
Sporting JAX comes into Friday’s match following a 2-0 road loss against Hartford Athletic on September 16. Jacksonville remained within striking distance for much of the night, but Hartford added a second goal late to secure all three points. Sporting JAX goalkeeper made eight saves in the defeat.
Friday will mark the second meeting between Loudoun and Sporting JAX this season. The two sides played to a dramatic 2-2 draw at Segra Field on July 3. Sporting JAX took a 1-0 lead into halftime before Arquímides Ordóñez and Abdellatif Aboukoura found the back of the net for Loudoun in the second half. Jacksonville responded with an equalizer deep into stoppage time to split the points in the first meeting between the clubs.
With another opportunity on the road, Loudoun will look to build on the chances created against Louisville and turn a positive attacking performance into a result. The Red-and-White will look to start quickly, stay organized defensively and capitalize on their opportunities in the final third as they wrap up their road stretch in Jacksonville.

“We remember the last game against them well. It was a tough match, and although they’ve changed quite a bit since then, there are still things we can take from that performance. We went into halftime 1-0 down, came back to take a 2-1 lead, and then conceded late, so we were disappointed not to see the game out. But I thought we showed a lot of attacking threat and quality that day, and that’s something we want to bring into this game as well. We’ve created a lot of good chances over the last few matches. We scored four a few games ago, felt we should have scored at Pittsburgh, and were disappointed to only score one at Louisville, so we need to make sure we continue creating those opportunities. It’s our third away game in a row and another tough place to go, but we need to get on the front foot, be aggressive, and take the game to them”
