Leesburg, VA (October 3 , 2026) — Loudoun United FC earned a 1-1 draw against Indy Eleven at Segra Field, with goalkeeper Jordan Farr scoring a dramatic late equalizer to become the first goalkeeper in club history to find the back of the net.
Match Summary
Loudoun controlled much of the opening half, holding the majority of possession and consistently pushing into the Indy Eleven defensive third. They generated several opportunities in front of goal, including two efforts that struck the woodwork, but were unable to capitalize. Despite Loudoun’s pressure, Indy found the breakthrough before halftime to take a 1-0 advantage into the break.
Loudoun continued to push for an equalizer throughout the second half, maintaining control of possession and keeping Indy pinned back for stretches of the match. With time running out, Loudoun continued to send numbers forward in search of a deserved equalizer.
The breakthrough eventually came through an unlikely source. Goalkeeper Jordan Farr joined the attack late and found the back of the net to level the match at 1-1, scoring his first goal of the 2026 season and becoming the first goalkeeper in Loudoun United history to score a goal. The late finish secured a point for Loudoun after a night in which they outshot Indy and held an advantage in total passes.
Thoughts from the Club
Head Coach Anthony Limbrick on the performance and Farr’s historic goal:
“I thought we were the dominant side in the first half. We created more chances, hit the post and had more shots, crosses, final-third entries and entries into the box, so we were disappointed not to score. Indy are a good team, they’re big and physical, and they put a ball into the box that we didn’t quite deal with, so to go into halftime 1-0 down felt very harsh. I thought we had a go in the second half. We didn’t create as many clear chances, but I thought we more than deserved a draw, and really it’s a game we feel we should be winning. Credit to the players because they kept going all the way to the end, and I’m pleased they got some reward for the performance even though we wanted all three points. For Jordan to score the goal was unbelievable. He’s such a good character and has really lifted the locker room with his presence and personality. It was a great moment for him. It looked like a great leap across the near post and a good ball in from Giorgi. Everyone was really pleased for him and for the team.”
Goalkeeper Jordan Farr on the match and scoring the equalizer:
“I thought we dominated possession and were really unlucky with a lot of the chances we created without finding the end product. I feel really blessed to be able to help the team in such a big way because this doesn’t happen often. One point is way better than none, and now we keep riding because we have a big week ahead. Scoring the goal was one of the coolest moments. My family was right where I scored, and I was able to jump into the crowd with them afterward. This is why we play soccer, for moments like these. I hope everybody remembers it and comes back out to Segra Field for more of those moments.”
