Leesburg, VA. (January 20, 2026) — Loudoun United FC announce the addition of Dario Pot as Assistant Coach on a multi-year contract, marking his return to the club after previously serving on Loudoun United’s technical staff.
Pot returns to Loudoun United after most recently serving as Assistant Manager with FK TSC Bačka Topola in the Serbian SuperLiga, where he worked with one of Europe’s top professional environments. His return to the United States follows a distinguished coaching career that spans more than two decades across Europe and North America. A holder of both the UEFA Pro License and the USSF A License, Pot brings a highly credentialed, modern coaching profile shaped by elite professional and development environments.
“The new year is not just about a change in the calendar; it’s about setting fresh goals, embracing new opportunities, and believing in your own potential,” said Dario Pot. “When a team trusts each other, success is a natural byproduct. I’m excited to return to Loudoun United and build on the foundation already in place.”
Prior to his initial tenure at Loudoun United, Pot was First Team Assistant Coach with San Antonio FC, where he helped guide the club to the 2022 USL Championship title and 2021 Conference Final appearance. His broader coaching background includes roles with Oakland Roots SC, Venture Fusion FC, Des Moines Menace, Rayo OKC, Wellington Phoenix, D.C. United Academy, and De Graafschap B.V. in the Netherlands, where he was part of a staff that earned promotion to the Dutch Eredivisie.
“Dario is an excellent appointment to the technical staff as an assistant coach here at Loudoun United FC,” said Anthony Limbrick, Head Coach of Loudoun United FC. “As a new head coach entering the USL, recruiting someone with experience in the league was essential. Dario has also worked in a variety of roles across different leagues around the world, all of which add significance to his pedigree.”
A former professional player, Pot’s playing career spanned Croatia, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the United States, giving him a global perspective that continues to influence his coaching approach.
“We’re pleased to welcome Dario Pot who will serve as the head coach’s primary assistant. He brings extensive experience at the highest levels of the game along with a deep understanding of the USL Championship,” said Alen Marcina, Sporting Director for Loudoun United FC. “A UEFA Pro License holder, he’s been part of championship-winning environments and understands the standards required to compete consistently in this league. Just as importantly, he has a proven ability to maximize individual player potential and support player progression, which is essential as we build an identity-led, player-centered, future-focused environment in support of our head coach.”
