Leesburg, VA (April 24, 2026) — Loudoun United FC has signed defenders Iain Mackintosh and Christian Moore to its USL Two team for the 2026 season, pending league and federation approval.
Mackintosh joins Loudoun United with a diverse playing background that spans both the United States and Spain. He began his youth career locally with Great Falls Reston, FC Virginia, and PSA before making the move overseas to continue his development in Madrid. While in Spain, Mackintosh competed with CDA Navalcarnero’s B team and trained with the club’s professional first team, gaining valuable experience in a high-level environment. He later spent time with Villanueva Del Pardillo before returning to Virginia, where he signed with VA Revolution Pro in 2023.
“Iain is now a veteran around the club, having previously been a key member of the UPSL group over the past few years,” said Loudoun United USL Two Head Coach, Matthew Mountford. “We are delighted for fans to get to watch ‘Coach’ Iain take to the field and we are sure that will inspire so many of the young people he coaches within the club academy.”
