
Leesburg, VA (May 6, 2026) — Loudoun United FC has signed forwards Madelyn Ryan and Addison Hess, and midfielders Mackenzie Cooper and Maya Penetrante to its USL W Team for the 2026 season, pending league and federation approval.
Ryan joins Loudoun United as a promising attacking talent from Virginia Revolution SC. Ryan competes for Linganore High School, where she has been a varsity starter, and has built a strong youth soccer resume through five seasons of club experience. She has been recognized by TopDrawerSoccer as a Top 200 player for the 2024/2025 cycle and has earned invitations to both the U.S. Youth National Team Regional Camp and U.S. Youth National Team ID Session. A forward with experience across attacking roles, Ryan brings pace, creativity, and high-level youth development experience to Loudoun’s USL W roster.

Hess joins Loudoun United following a standout freshman season at the University of Florida. In 2025, Hess appeared in all 18 matches for the Gators, started the final 15, and finished as the team’s co-leader in goals with four while adding three assists and 11 points. She was named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week twice. Hess was also ranked No. 48 on TopDrawerSoccer.com’s 2025 Postseason Top 100 Freshmen list and earned Southeastern Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. Hess previously competed for Freedom High School and TSJ FC Virginia. She was named the 2024 Gatorade Virginia Soccer Player of the Year, 2024 Washington Post All-Met Spring Soccer Player of the Year, 2024 VHSL Class 6 Player of the Year, and 2024 Class 6 Region B Player of the Year after scoring 43 goals and recording 19 assists as a senior. Hess was also part of the U.S. Under-17 National Team player pool, traveled to Sweden with the U.S. U-16 Youth National Team for the 2022 UEFA Development Tournament, and helped TSJ FC Virginia win the 2023 U-17 Girls Academy National Championship.

Her movement, finishing ability, and competitive mentality will bring a major presence to our front line this season.”

Cooper joins Loudoun United from Virginia Revolution SC, where she competes for the GA 07 Girls team. Cooper has been a standout at both the club and high school levels, serving as captain for her club team during the 2024-25 season and for Rock Ridge High School in both 2024 and 2025. She earned 2024 All-District Second Team honors, 2025 All-District First Team honors, and was named Team MVP in 2025. Cooper is committed to the University of Lynchburg and brings leadership, consistency, and local experience to Loudoun’s midfield group.

Penetrante joins Loudoun United with experience at St. Paul VI Catholic High School and TSJ FC Virginia. Penetrante has competed as both a midfielder and forward while helping St. Paul VI capture the 2024 WCAC Girls Soccer Championship and reach the 2024 VISAA Girls Soccer Final. At the international level, Penetrante was recently called up to represent the Philippine U-17 Women’s National Team at the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup in China. She prepared with the team during a training camp in Thailand before competing on the international stage against New Zealand and Thailand. At the club level, she was part of TSJ FC Virginia’s 2023 GA National Playoffs qualifying team and 2023 GA Mid-Atlantic South Conference Championship team. She also brings previous experience from Loudoun 09 ECNL, where she helped the team qualify for the 2022 ECNL National Playoffs and win the ECNL Mid-Atlantic Conference. Penetrante is verbally committed to Binghamton University.

Her ability to contribute in multiple attacking roles gives us another strong option in the midfield.”
