Leesburg, VA (August 7, 2026) — Loudoun United FC announce that the club has acquired attacker Eddy Davis III on loan from Philadelphia Union for the remainder of the 2026 USL Championship season, pending league and federation approval.

Davis joins Loudoun as a Philadelphia Union Homegrown after establishing himself as one of the most promising young attackers in MLS NEXT Pro. The 20-year-old earned a First Team contract following a record-breaking 2024 season with Philadelphia Union II, where he scored a club-record 13 goals.
During his standout 2024 campaign, Davis recorded 13 goals and four assists across 27 regular-season appearances for Union II. His 13 goals led the club, ranked fourth in MLS NEXT Pro and set a new Union II single-season scoring record.

Davis was named MLS NEXT Pro Rising Star of the Month in April, May and September, becoming the first player in Union II history to earn the honor three times in a single season. He also helped Union II win the Eastern Conference Championship and advance to the club’s first MLS NEXT Pro Cup Final, where he scored his first career playoff goal against North Texas SC.
Following his breakout season, Davis signed a three-year First Team contract with Philadelphia in February 2025, becoming the 28th Homegrown signing in club history. He made his Major League Soccer debut in June 2025 against Chicago Fire FC.
Davis has continued to make an impact with Union II during the 2026 season. In July, he recorded a hat trick in a 4-0 victory against New England Revolution II and was named MLS NEXT Pro Player of the Matchweek for his performance.
